Adele – “Make You Feel My Love” [Dylan cover]
I haven’t gotten into the Amnesty International FOUR disc release of Dylan covers yet, but I have heard two or three of the cuts and this one struck me the most. Adele really can deliver an amazing cover. Chimes Of Freedom features what seems like an endless list of artists covering Dylan tunes…there are about 75 in all.

Bob Dylan – “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue”
I used to hate this song. When we were little, my father would finger-pick his beautiful Gibson guitar that he got when he was a teenager and sing to us before bed…the same dozen or so old folk songs each night. This song, because of it’s name, was usually the last song. And that’s why I hated it! I never wanted Dad to stop playing. These days we occasionally gather round my father and sing along as he plays some of those old songs and I still never want it to end. But now I do really love this Dylan tune. Happy 70th birthday, to one of the most influential songwriters ever. And thanks Dad, for the music.

Mason Jennings – “The Times They Are A-Changin”
I’m filling in on the early morning shift this week at mvyradio. One of the features I get to do is called “Live, Acoustic, and Cover Tunes” and it’s exactly what it sounds like. This morning I featured some Bob Dylan covers… including this beauty from Mason Jennings…
I need suggestions for more great cover tunes (or live/acoustic versions of tunes)… feel free to comment with any ideas!
