Delta Spirit – “Bushwick Blues”

I gave away my copy of the Fleet Foxes album Helplessness Blues so I suddenly had to listen to something else in my car (seriously…I just listen to it OVER and OVER…). I popped in History From Below from Delta Spirit and my love for this album came rushing back.  This song especially moves me… the words are just so emotional. When I listen, I feel like I’m really feeling the pain and confusion that are embedded in the words and in the writer’s heart. This whole album flippin’ rocks. Check it out.

“So maybe I’m the fool
For feeling used
But the way we kissed that night I thought you knew
Because my love is strong
and my heart is weak
after all.”
