It’s really refreshing to encounter music that isn’t quite like anything you’ve ever heard before. With the way people talk about going outside of the box to bring something new to the table, “Sound Outside” is certainly a fitting name for this group. At first listen you think you know what to expect from them but then you’re surprised. And from this great Daytrotter write-up, it seems the same goes for front-woman Sallie Ford herself…who apparently appears unassuming, and is revealed to be a “sly and seductive little minx”.
