I’ve blogged about this dreamy duo before. Tall Heights will be playing on the side stage at Naukabout and they are not to be missed. Beautiful harmonies and heartfelt lyrics definitely pull the listener in…check out “Hell And High Water” recorded TODAY at WBUR in Boston:
I’ve seen John Brown’s Body once before and was just blown away by how they MOVED me. These guys really get funky and have an awesome groove to their roots/reggae sound. They’re sure to get the crowd moving and grooving at Naukabout! You’ll hear what I mean:
Will Dailey is a delight to see live in concert whether he’s solo, with a full band, or just with his drummer (like we’ll be seeing him on the side stage at Naukabout on Saturday). Have you heard his cover of this Beyonce tune??
Well, the summer is flying by as usual and the 5th annual Naukabout festival is coming right up! I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of great local acts Saturday including the Adam Ezra Group, who I’ve never seen live. I love this sweet sounding tune and it’s fun to see all the Boston shots in the music video too:
The 4th annual Naukabout Music Festival is happening on August 6th, and the lineup was recently announced. This daylong family-friendly festival on Cape Cod will showcase a solid array of up and coming artists, most from the New England area. This will be my fourth Naukabout, and I’ll attest that it’s gotten better and better each year. Don’t miss it!
Bela Fleck, Zakir Hussain and Edgar Meyer – “Bubbles”
I’m getting excited for the 3rd annual Naukabout music festival on Cape Cod… it’s coming up on Saturday at the Barnstable County Fairgrounds. There are a bunch of great acts performing and it all starts at around noon. The headliners are world class musicians – Bela Fleck, Zakir Hussain and Edgar Meyer. The trio put out an album called The Melody Of Rhythm last year, and here’s a tune from that album to give you a taste of what Saturday night at Naukabout will be like!
I’ve got to share this stunning song and video. As they approach the release date of their highly anticipated new album, the Ryan Montbleau Band are putting out homemade videos with live renditions of the 14 new tracks. This is the second video, with Ryan performing the song “Carry” solo. With a nod to Martha’s Vineyard in the lyrics of the song, it’s so fitting that the video was filmed during sunrise at Ocean Park in Oak Bluffs.
Heavy on the Vine will be out September 21st. You can catch the Ryan Montbleau Band live on Saturday for two Boston Harbor Cruises… they’ll also be performing at the 3rd annual Naukabout music festival in Cape Cod on August 7th.
